Die Gesellschaft für Turkologie, Osmanistik und Türkeiforschung (GTOT) lädt Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftler, die einschlägige Forschungsergebnisse in den Bereichen Geschichte, Sozialwissenschaften,
Sprachwissenschaften, Literaturwissenschaften, Kulturanthropologie, Philologie und Politologie zur Türkei und der türkischen Welt vorstellen möchten ein, am Ersten Europäischen Turkologentag - Turkologie,
Osmanistik und Türkeiforschung teilzunehmen. Die Tagung findet vom 11. bis 14. Februar 2014 an der Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München statt.
Der Turkologentag möchte Institutionen, Organisationen und individuelle Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftler aus Europa zusammenbringen, die sich mit Studien zur Türkei und der turksprachigen Welt beschäftigen. Die vier Tage werden Gelegenheit zu interdisziplinärer Debatte und zur Stärkung akademischer Netzwerke bieten. Ein spezielles Forum für Nachwuchswissenschaftler und Doktoranden ist vorgesehen.
Wir bitten um Einsendung von Themen mitsamt Zusammenfassung (300-500 Wörter) bis zum 30. November an die Adresse turkologentag2014@lmu.de. Einzelvorträge sollen eine Länge von 20 Minuten, Panels von zwei Stunden haben
Nach Annahme eines Beitrages werden wir um die Überweisung der Teilnahmegebühr bitten.
GTOT ist eine wissenschaftliche Vereinigung, die sich europaweit der Förderung von wissenschaftlicher Forschung zur Türkei und allen Türk-Kulturen und -Gesellschaften widmet. GTOT betrachten Forschung zu
Nichtmuslimen und anderen ethnischen oder religiösen Gruppen, die im Osmanischen Reich, der Türkei oder der türkischen Welt anzutreffen sind, als integralen Bestandteil des von ihr geförderten Forschungsfeldes. Die
Gesellschaft bezweckt, Forschende und Forschungen zu vernetzen, in der Öffentlichkeit sichtbar zu machen. Ein besoderes Anliegen ist ihr die Nachwuchsförderung.
Teilnahmegebühr: GTOT-Mitglieder 40 EUR
Nichtmitglieder 100 EUR
Studentische und z.Zt. unbeschäftigte GTOT-Mitglieder 5 EUR
Sonstige studentische und z.Zt. unbeschäftigte Teilnehmer 50EUR
Der Jahresbetrag der GTOT beträgt zur Zeit 50 EUR.
Konferenzsprachen sind Deutsch, Türkisch und Englisch.
GTOT (the Society for Turkic, Ottoman and Turkish Studies) invites scholars from Europe (including Turkey, the Caucasus, and Israel) working in the fields of history, social science, linguistics, literary
studies, anthropology, philology, and political sciences on Turkey and the Turkic World to participate in the first European Convention on Turkic, Ottoman and Turkish Studies (Turkologentag 2014). The conference
will take place on 11 - 14 February 2014 at Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich., It is organised in
co-operation with the Institute of Near and Middle Eastern Studies of Munich University.
The conference aims to bring together institutions, organizations and individual scholars from Europe who are engaged in Turkish and Turkic Studies. The four-day event will provide an opportunity for an interdisciplinary debate within different fields of research and will allow the participants to build networks for future cooperation. There will be a special forum open do newly finished PhD and graduate students.
If you would like to participate in the conference we kindly ask you to submit a title, an abstract (300-500 words) along with your CV by November 30th, 2013 to our email address Turkologentag2014@lmu.de.
Length of a paper is 20 minutes; panels should last 120 minutes. Once your paper is selected, you will be asked to submit your conference fee.
Conference participation fee for members: 40 EUR, for non-members 100 EUR. For students and unemployed 50 EUR, member students and unemployed 5 EUR. The GTOT membership fee is 50 EUR p.a. GTOT is an academic organisation operating in the field of European Turkic, Ottoman and Turkish Studies. GTOT is creating a network for scholars and especially for young researchers around Europe in the field of Ottoman, Turkish and Turkic Studies encompassing a wide range of research interest including non-Muslims and other religious and / or ethnic groups in past and present.
Conference languages are English, German and Turkish
