a Magyar-Egyiptomi Baráti Társaság elnöke 
az arab kultúra, az iszlám civilizáció és vallás európai megismertetéséért  az Egyiptomi Arab Köztársaság által adományozott Művészeti és Tudományos Érdemrend birtokosa 

2014. augusztus 2-án váratlanul elhunyt.

Búcsúztatása 2014. augusztus 30-án 17 órakor a Gazdagréti Református Templomban lesz.
